Whilst working I did various part-time courses in graphic design (St. Martins), textile design (Perth Tech. College,WA), Portraiture and Calligraphy (Edinburgh College of Art) and drawing (Tain Royal Academy Further Ed.Centre). I moved into a family cottage at Portmahomack many years ago and am inspired by the sea, boats, birds, harbour etc. I worked as a calligrapher for many years for a Highland Heraldic Co. and also produced designs for mugs, mats, posters as well as doing my own cards and paintings. My work is quite graphic in style and is a bit naive or quirky sometimes.
